As one of the first learning experiences of my graduate school experience, I found this to be an extremely enlightening topic. Through this analysis, I learned about how technological innovation can be facilitated in schools and within larger educational organizations. I learned how change theory and adult learning theory factor into the diffusion of technology-related change. This information provided a foundation for many future assignments and experiences that required me to facilitate technological initiatives. Now, as I embark on the end of my graduate school program, I would be interested in reviewing the most current educational technology plans and assess how these have progressed from the time this initial assignment was completed. I believe this would provide me with additional insight into the current trends and practices. I would also be interested to see how my analysis of the related topics has evolved and developed as my learning experiences have provided a much deeper knowledge base on this topic.
The primary documents utilized for this artifact were related to school improvement. In this assignment, I analyzed a variety of documents designed to facilitate and ignite growth and development in schools, districts, and states. For schools to continually improve, leaders must constantly assess and evaluate their current progress and align their initiatives to the desired outcome. This was just one example of how such plans can be evaluated and modified to ensure continual growth and progress.
