Introduction
My name is Maggie Phillips, and I am a graduate of Kennesaw State University's Instructional Technology Graduate Program. I began the program Fall 2011 and graduated in Summer 2013. Prior to that, I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008 with a bacheIor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching elementary school.
I currently work at Powers Ferry Elementary School. In my current role, I work with third, fourth, and fifth grade students on technology skills. I also support the integration of classroom technology in kindergarten, first, and second grades. This is my seventh year in education. My first six years were at Hollydale Elementary, teaching third and fourth grades.
Kennesaw State University's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Master's Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to obtain a job as a technology coach. I plan to continue with my education by pursuing my doctoral degree in a technology related field.
The purpose of this portfolio is to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to dynamically integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology through professional learning opportunities and coaching experiences.
